Our Team
Pete Mangan Pete Mangan is an affiliate who heads up our Manufacturing Practice at the Institute. Pete serves as both a senior consultant and an executive coach, and co-facilitates our Plant Operations Forum. He brings an energetic, team-centric approach to helping our clients align their strategic priorities towards growth through a focus on improving facility sales, developing new products and achieving operational excellence. Pete brings 26 years of business experience, with the last 15 years in senior management positions. His various leadership roles have included Director of Operations for Bausch and Lomb production facilities, Vice President and General Manager for three high growth manufacturing firms, and most recently President of a rapidly expanding Orthopedic contract manufacturing organization in Austin, Texas. His experience includes resolutions and results for the unique challenges that face manufacturers seeking to commercialize new products quickly and at competitive prices. His focus has been in both low and high volume manufacturing environments. Specifically, he has been involved with new product development and commercialization in the style driven sunglass market as well as, contract medical manufacturing to the CRM and Orthopedic market segments, technical ceramics for the semiconductor markets, commercial printing and industrial filtration systems. In addition, Pete is an enthusiastic practitioner of Six Sigma and Lean. Throughout his career, he has come to understand and practice the power of sound priorities to enable these tools to come alive and be sustained. He brings this “battle-tested” understanding of Priority Thinking to the aid of all of our clients. Pete has a BS in Business Management from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, New York; and an MBA (with a focus on Business Management) from the Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition, he has an APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), taught CPIM certification courses for three years, and certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Pete currently splits his time between our offices in Austin, Texas and Rochester, New York. |
