As
manager of internal operations at the Institute, Mark Preston is responsible for
overseeing the development, customization and administration of all of our
training courses and assessment tools. In addition, Mark is an executive
coach and head of our Team Development practice.
Throughout his twenty-plus years in private industry, Mark has served in
leadership roles in Quality, Engineering, Product Development, Operations and
Project Management. As early as 1996, he was practicing Priority Thinking®
on the factory floor with Institute founder Peter DeMarco, and has applied
our proprietary concepts in both domestic and international operations.
With 2 patents to his credit, Mark brings an effective blend of experience,
talent, discipline and creativity to the service of our clients.
Prior to his career in the private sector, Mark served in a
variety of Army Staff and Command positions. His assignments include being an
Intelligence Company Commander, a Brigade Intelligence Officer, and a Battalion
Logistics Officer.
Mark currently resides in Fairport with Janice, his
wife of almost 30 years. They have two grown
daughters, Melissa and Jennifer. Mark is a regular whole
blood and Apheresis donor (13 gallon pin), and a past CPR Instructor.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the
United States Military Academy, and a Masters in Business Administration from
Baylor University with a concentration in Management.
