The Ethics of Diversity

"e pluribus unum [Out of Many, One]"

~ Seal of the United States

You must decide!" How can you lead a diverse workgroup to collaborate effectively and ethically AND win in the global economy? Our Ethics of Diversity course introduces course participants to a framework for thinking about the choices that they will face as leaders in a diverse and dynamic workplace. Globalization and diversity go hand in hand. But, without good ethics diversity cannot flourish. This training is an extension of our robust Priority Thinking model, and learning is accomplished primarily through interactive case studies where "You must decide!" Utilizing our priority pollers to solicit individual responses, we will discuss and debate the implications of participant decisions.

Series Objective:
To help professionals at all levels of responsibility to put workplace diversity in its proper context, and to better understand the ethical implications of the decisions they make to diversity challenges.

Course Modules Include (but are not limited to):
? What is Ethics?
? What is Diversity?
? The Fundamentals of Professionalism
? Ethics, Diversity and Corporate Culture
? Case Studies in Ethics & Diversity

Fairness & Tolerance

Two key terms seem to play a central role in diversity discussions in the workplace: Fairness & Tolerance.  Fairness is a principle which requires us to treat others equally and give them their due, while tolerance implies putting up with others, allowing a word, thought or action which we may not agree with.  Both are important priorities, but at the margin we must choose.  Which is a higher priority for you and your organization?

Priority Polling

Our polling technology utilizes palm size radio frequency devices to allow you and your teams to provide dynamic feedback on your group's ideas, perceptions, performance or opinions in a number of areas.
